Visitors will be able to almost taste and feel culinary creations through the innovative use of the camera lens. This is all about Food Photography as Art - so much more than the classic course on a pretty plate. Perspectives will include the act of cooking, drinking and making wine, restaurants, cafes, nightlife, lifestyle, travel, culture, wellness, body and soul.

The exhibitions will be shown in the renovated docks of the harbour. Entry to the exhibitions will be free of charge.

Screenings will be shown on the evenings during the Festival. These events highlight the work of the FOODPHOTO FESTIVAL selected photographers. In addition, all screenings will be projected during the exhibitions.

After the screening, during the Award Night the winners of the FOODPHOTO award, for the photographer of the best food photo (or serie) of the year and FOODFEATURE award for the photographer of the best food reportage of the year will be announced.

An international independant Jury will be selecting the winners.

The FOODPHOTO FESTIVAL Network Center, located in Tinglado 4 in the harbour of Tarragona,  will be open and accessible to all registered visitors, guests and sponsors. Booths will be provided to photo agencies, publishers, equipment manufacturers and other interested parties.  The Network Center will provide an on-site gathering place for professionals in the various industries related to food photography. It will be a venue for individual meetings, conferences, portfolio reviews, jury discussions and press conferences.

During the Festival, experts in the field of Food Photography will lead conferences on a variety of related topics.
The conference center,  is located in TINGLADO 4, in the harbour of Tarragona. You need to register for the Festival to be able to attend the conferences.

During the days of the Festival, experts in the field of Food Photography will be offering workshops on a variety of topics.  These 2-3 hours hands-on learning sessions can be booked with the Festival Registration. Workshops will be held in the building "Refugio 2", just across the street of the Network Center or on location, see details per workshop in the program.

Portfolio reviews are held in the network center. Meet art directors, publishers, art buyer and editors form different countries. Appointments can be made at the registration desk in the Network Center.

This year we introduced the concept of SHARED EXPERIENCE where 1 or more experts share their experience  of a specific topic related to Food Photography with the professionals in an one-hour "round-table" session. To appoint to the Shared Experience, please come to the registration desk in the Network Center.
